I have the recipe to keep anxiety at bay: deep breathing, regular cardio, limited caffeine, good sleep, and remembering that at the end of the day, most things don’t matter; everything passes.
However, now and then, it is essential to add something into the mix. Because despite having the ingredients, when you cook up the same dish every day, the result is not always the same–there are simply too many variables.
Enter Qi Gong.
Combining elements of deep breathing, yoga, and stretching, I often find that a simple 10-minute Qi Gong routine is enough to turn my day around.
The world of Qi Gong runs deep, and there is much to uncover.
But even if you were not all in, I find these two videos to be beneficial, especially when pressed for time and/or stressed out.
If I need to clear the cobwebs, I’ll meditate. If I need I need to stay energized and focused, I’ll do cardio. But if I’m looking for a quick hit that straddles the line between both, Qi Gong is the way.
